David Morales becomes probably the most world-renowned DJ to take on the SoundOf mix

 

 

Growing up in New York during probably the most vital time in dance music's history, Morales frequented legendary clubs such as The Loft and the Paradise Garage. After making his name as a DJ on the early 80s circuit, he teamed up with godfather of house music, Frankie Knuckles, to form Def Mix Productions to help manage remix requests and the business side of this burgeoning industry.

Responsible for over 500 remixes and productions, he's probably most widely known for his remix of Jamiroquai's "Space Cowboy" and his own production, "Needin U", which has gone on to become a permanent fixture in the record bag of any self-respecting DJ.

No stranger to Ministry of Sound, David has graced our decks from way back in our fledgling days right up until this year. He'll be helping to wrap up an incredible 2014, by taking over The Box on Saturday 27th December alongside support from Anek and TTandom.
