It's been a big year for Hudson Mohawke
After dropping his critically acclaimed second album, two massive singles and a huge live tour taking in Sonar, Field Day and Apple Music, we thought we'd take the opportunity to look back at some of Hud Mo's biggest moments from his storied career
Hudson Mohawke - "Ryderz"
Lets start with the track that's freshest in our collective memories. Dropping just in time to soundtrack your summer road trips, guaranteed to be a feature on any end of year list worth reading.
TNGHT - "Higher Ground"
Back in 2012 I saw TNGHT make their Warehouse Project debut in the colossal main room of Victoria Warehouse. This is what happened when they dropped "Higher Ground". Madness. Pure madness.
Hudson Mohawke - "cbat"
When I first heard this track I was a law student and I had no idea how to describe that 'cbat' sound. Four years later, I write about dance music full time and I still have no idea what the hell that noise is, but I still love it.
Hudson Mohawke - "Pleasure"
Only Hud Mo could come into the post-dubstep UK bass landscape of 2011 and smash it out the park by sampling Janet Jackson.
Valentines Slow Jams Chapters 1 - 5
Showing that Ross isn't just about huge production and big bass, the annual Valentines Slow Jams series shows he's just as comfortable spinning soul and disco as he is with hip hop and dance music.
Kanye West - "Blood On The Leaves"
Yeezus helped cement Ye's transformation from pop culture icon into music auteur and Hud Mo's signature horns helped usher in the new age of yeezus.
Special Mention: Hudson Mohawke - "Chimes"
In 2014, only Hud Mo could make an apple advert cool.
Hudson Mohawke will be returning to the warehouse project for a live show and a B2B DJ set with Mark Ronson this Friday, get your tickets here.
