How to get into Berghain is one of clubbing's most enduring mysteries
Berghain - like our own club - is one of the world's must visit clubbing institutions, the jewel in the techno crown and the stomping ground of some of the heaviest hitting DJs in the game.
But actually getting into Berghain has become almost as infamous as the club itself. The door policy is renowned for being strict, unpredictable and constantly evolving. Previous rules of thumb have included go with someone German, wear all black, don't speak english, but the really the only certainty is that nein means nein.
But if you're planning a clubbing coach trip to Berghain anytime soon, you're in luck, because Berlin-based illustrator, Sophia Halamoda has put together an illustrated guide to getting past Sven Marquardt and his crack team of bouncers.
We've included an abridged version of the guide below, make sure you check out her website for the full version and a range of other illustrated guides.
