David Bowie Gets His Own Constellation

As the Starman returns to his cosmic home, we mortals are given the chance to look upon the sky and remember David Bowie. Tributes to the musician have been a constant sight since his death of cancer two days after the release of his album Blackstar, and in a fitting memoriam, a group of Belgian scientists have named a seven star, lightning bolt shaped constellation after the musician.

 

Flume Returns With new single

A much awaited sophomore album is in the pipeline for Australian heart manipulator Flume, and fans have been allowed to whet their whistle with a the dropping of "Never Be Like You". It comes two weeks after a tantalising album sampler from the impending Skin, and is a glorious, spring awakening of a track. Pulling in recognisable neoprene textured trap beats and pairing them with the vocals of Kai, a Canadian singer who has written with and sung for Diplo and Skrillex in the past, "Never Be Like You" is a spacious and defining effort from one of the world's most sought after producers.

 

ANTS Is Swarming To London

The matte black billboards of ANTS stuck out across Ibiza last summer, attracting attention with their tribe inciting party ethos. Though both eye soring and heat absorbing, ANTS was one of the most popular parties on the White Isle, with Nic Fanciulli, Andrea Oliver and Gorgon City playing throughout the season. Now, the all black brigade are coming to the UK, with a date at London’s Brixton Electric on the 27^th of February.

 

Glastonbury Seeks More Female Line Up

Finally a festival organiser has spoken up about the glaring gender disparity on summer stages. Emily Eavis, Glastonbury co-organiser and champion of diversity in music, has said in an interview that this year’s Worthy Farm bonanza will be heralded by the arrival of MORE WOMEN. “We are strong on women this year, I have to say”. Let's see how the line up pans out when it's released, but so far so good from Britain's best loved music festival.
