Today's SoundOf is a statement of intent from a city on the up in electronic music

A few weeks ago we brought you news of the monster lineup for the second edition of Belfast festival, AVA. The Bicep-backed festival is set to return on Saturday 4th June and will welcome Rødhåd, Mano Le Tough, Gerd Janson and Optimo among a host of local talent.

One of those talented locals, is Jordan McCuaig, one of Belfast's most adept party starters. First taking to the decks at the age of 13, Jordan made his name throwing after hours parties in weird and wonderful venues around the city.

From noodle bars to art galleries, Jordan was instrumental in railing against the Northern Irish Capital's archaic licensing laws by throwing the best illegal parties in the city. He's now progressed into mainstream club culture and has supported legendary DJs such as Paul Woolford and Carl Craig.

We were lucky enough to corner him into putting together an hour long SoundOf mix, this mix is a mission statement of where the DJ and the scene he helped shape is at in 2016, it's the SoundOf Belfast.
