It's Deadmau5 V Coachella, EDC, Tidal, Tomorrowland, Diplo, Skrillex, Hardwell, Tiesto, Calvin Harris, Aoki, Prydz, Kaskade and Deadmau5
It started off oh so simply with Mau5 taking a potshot at EDC (Electric Daisy Carnival) by giving it a new name.
Then he decided to explore the rest of the festival world.
Then the streaming world, firing shots at Tidal (of which he is a shareholder).
Then his 3.5 million followers got onboard and started suggesting other things to turn into unflattering acronyms. Obviously it wasn't long before his regular sparring partners, Skrillex and Diplo were in the crosshairs.
This opened the floodgates and suddenly fans were throwing out pretty much every EDM DJ on the circuit for Mau5 to ridicule.
After a while it turned from scathing attack to just a bit of fun as Joel included some of his known friends, and even himself, in the acronym attack.
Then things got even more playful as Felix Cartal actually volunteered himself for ridicule.
But perhaps the weirdest part of the whole scenario was that Avicii got off scot free
