To celebrate Fridays reunion in The Box, here Nick and Hernan fondly recall how their paths first crossed.
Ben Nicky returns to the main room with his first headline show at Ministry bringing with him his famed 'Headf**k' event.
Ben Nicky’s love affair with The Gallery and Ministry of Sound stretches back six years now, a time in which he has perfected the art of battering The Box in to submission. Always with an unrelenting take on those twisted sounds, this return to our main room will take both mental plus physical preparation - as Ben Nicky plays a first headline show at the club and representing his famed ‘Headf**k’ series of events.
After sell-out showcases all around the world and their video clips subsequently going viral on social media, a London debut of HF has been requested by Trance fans for many months now. So your wish is our command as all are welcome to witness Ben’s biggest show in the Capital to date. But please note an important disclaimer, The Gallery bears no responsibility for those who cannot last the pace.
Not forgetting Trance classics in the 103 room, as Radio 1 stalwart Dave Pearce plus Gallery resident Tall Paul continue this poignant and popular music policy next door in our intimate space. Here is one track guaranteed on the night from each participating artist plus their personal narrative.
CHOICES FOR THE BOX – HF LONDON
BEN NICKY
"My latest track "Hectic" is a real dance floor pleaser in my sets at the moment all across the globe. It's nice to have some hands in the air moments during the breakdown and then hitting hard with the triplet psy bassline for maximum impact."
MARK SHERRY
"My Outburst 500 compilation was packed full of exclusive tracks and remixes, including this Outburst Rework of Max Graham & Estiva's 'Generation' - I added some techy 909 percussion, dark minor stabs, soaring tech-trance leads and a stripped back bass drop - I basically gave it the 'early morning' underground rave-fodder treatment!"
MANUEL LE SAUX
“I chose this record because it’s so special for so many reasons. The biggest one is because I’ve tried to put emotions, energy, dreams and awesomeness all in one track. Which is exactly what Trance is all about to me!”
103 – TRANCE CLASSICS
DAVE PEARCE
“With summer just a couple of months away, this beautiful and evocative track always gets me in the mood. It exudes happiness and optimism, guaranteed to put a big smile on your face. I'm looking forward to playing this beauty in my Es Paradis sets in Ibiza this summer and of course at The Gallery at Ministry Of Sound in London. This track is trance perfection and holds so many precious memories of amazing DJ experiences around the world.”
TALL PAUL
“Not your obvious classic here, but it’s been in my Gallery Top 20 now for over 10 years. The production is so far ahead of its time…”
