Business bible, Forbes, have just released their annual Electronic Cash Kings List and for a fifth consecutive year Calvin Harris reigns supreme. The Dumfries DJ took home a whopping $48.4m in the year from June 2016 - 2017. The rest of the list has remained largely unchanged, bar the debuts of The Chainsmokers and Marshmello at No.3 and No.8 respectively.

The mix is still an all male, all white affair with an emphasis on crossover pop success. When describing how they compiled the list Forbes stated:

"Our rankings of the world’s highest-paid DJs take into account earnings from June 2016 through June 2017. Fees for agents, managers and lawyers are not subtracted. We create our list with the help of data from Nielsen, Pollstar, Bandsintown, Songkick, as well as interviews with industry insiders and some of the DJs themselves.
