Techno legend Maceo Plex has taken to twitter, along with many other artists, to express his thoughts following neo-Nazi rallies in Charlottesville that resulted in the deaths of three people. The effects have been felt worldwide and the music industry has already become involved with Spotify and Deezer removing all 'hate music' from their platforms.

In his own response, Maceo Plex has suggested taking action by throwing a free party in Charlottesville to "promote & dance for unity & equality" and to fight neo-Nazis.

The idea has already garnered overwhelming support from industry figures including Modeselektor, Nick Murphy and more.

Since then Maceo Plex has reached out to find local promoters in Virginia to join him in his cause. Although there has been no official confirmation of any show, we hope this idea genuinely becomes reality and we look forward to seeing electronic music bringing people together to promote peacefulness and unity in the face of vile racists.
