To celebrate our partnership with Classic Ibiza, we're taking a look back at the top ten  orchestral strings in dance music.

10. Goldie - "Inner City Life"

Kicking things off with Goldie's Timeless classic, featuring a subtle string section from the DnB don.

9. Soul II Soul - "Back To Life"

The only UK No.1 Single on this list, a stone cold classic.

 Joe Smooth - "Promised Land'

Those sweeping strings take us straight to the promised land.

DJ Rolando - "Knights Of The Jaguar"

What starts as fairly normal house fare builds into a fast-paced orchestral masterpiece.

Octave One Feat. Ann Saunderson - "Black Water"

From the dramatic start to the euphoric conclusion, this is no strings attached greatness.

5. Moby - "God Moving Over The Face Of The Waters"

Not one for the dancefloor, but Moby has said he thinks this is the most beautiful piece of music he's ever created and we tend to agree.

4. Nightmares On Wax - "Les Nuits"

An afterparty classic, strings have never been so chill.

3. DJ Tiesto - "Adagio For Strings"

A far cry from his current sound, this reminds us of just how great Tijs was.

2. Massive Attack - "Unfinished Sympathy"

Massive Attack's blissful symphony brings all the feels.

1. Rhythim Is Rhythim - "Strings Of Life"

How could this not be No.1? The perfect mix of strings and beats. Perfection.

Classic Ibiza will take place at Knebworth House on Saturday 19th August, before heading up north to Bolesworth Castle, Cheshire on Friday 1st September. It'll feature classical renditions of many of the tracks on this list along with a whole lot more, get tickets and more info here.
