Despite being one of the younger music genres, Electronic Music is still getting on a bit, in fact it's less than three years off getting a free bus pass. The video above is a real treasure trove for any wannabe dance music historian.

It contains footage from the first recorded performance by electronic pioneers Kraftwerk. Filmed at the 1970 'Carousel of the Youth' the video features the original Kraftwerk lineup performing in the year they first formed the band.

It's a weird watch, part rave footage, part classic sci-fi. But while the graphics and hairstyles have changed, the thump thump of four on the floor remains as current now as it was then.
