What did you do last night?

We all have our tales of late night hijinks and misadventure. For every amazing anecdote, there's inevitably a night where you're the butt of the joke. It's always difficult in those first few hungover seconds, rewinding through the memory to make sure you didn't do anything too bad. This column celebrates those that have taken their escapades to a national level and in the process have become our Ravers of the Week.

The Mike Pence Glitter Bomb Dance Party Ravers

On Wednesday night hundreds of LGBT activists descended on vice president elect, Mike Pence's house to throw a dance party in protest at the politician's awful record on gay rights. Pence, who will become vice president later today, voted against both gay marriage and the repeal of the US military's controversial 'don't ask, don't tell' policy. Unfortunately the party didn't quite get to Pence's house, due to police road blocks, but instead took place on an adjacent. The event's Facebook page said: "get ready to WERK it and tell Daddy Pence: homo/transphobia is not tolerated in our country!" as chants of "Daddy Pence, come dance!" echoed through the neighbourhood.

The Nightclub Dad Ban Blagger

This week Bolton nightclub, Level, posted a Facebook message from a punter begging the club to ban his girlfriend's dad. The blagger explained that the dad in question was always at the nightclub, which prevented the younger man from "chatting to birds". The nightclub took it for a windup, but the message pleaded with them that he was dead serious. The club said they couldn't enforce a ban for these reasons and posted the conversation to Facebook, saying they still didn't believe it was real. If it is a joke, it's a prank, it's a great one. If it's real then, we think someone's getting dumped pretty soon.
