His previous album Divide reached astronomical heights and he's just returned from headlining Glastonbury on Sunday night, but Ed Sheeran has already revealed plans for his fourth album - do we predict Subtract perhaps?
In an interview with The Sun, the suffolk superstar divulged that he begun work on this next album six years ago, saying "I’ve been working on this one since the same time as Plus. Every year I write a song that will go on it. So I have about six, seven at the moment.”
Ed also revealed that he has his sights set on a collaboration with DJ Khaled, "Me and DJ Khaled were talking about doing a song but I haven’t had any time to go in the studio, so I missed this album. But hopefully next year. I’m keeping open," he said.
Bieber also joins the list of potential collaborators for the upcoming album however, fans shouldn't hold their breath after Ed admitted it may still be another three of four years. The new record won't mirror Divide, with hit tracks like 'Shape of You' taking a back seat as Ed follows a more acoustic direction.
