Originally from Switzerland, Ilona Maras, has made a name for herself becoming one of the biggest DJs in Dubai. The city of sand has a relatively young electronic music scene, but it's fast becoming a global destination and hosting DJs of Ilona's calibre has no doubt accelerate this transformation.
Ilona holds two esteemed residencies, one at Cafe del Mar Dubai and the other at underground techno night Back2Basics.
We first met Ilona when she was destroying the main room at Relevance Festival in Copenhagen and knew we had to get her in for a SoundOf mix as soon as possible.
