Today we have an exclusive premiere from Monki's 'one to watch', 21 year old Mancunian producer, Mason Maynard. Mason first released on Solardo's Sola imprint, since then he's been on Relief, Defected, and now Nothing Else Matters. Talking to us about "Puffy", Mason said:

“I made Puffy with one intention and that was to ignite the crowd no matter which club it was played in and it has done just that from Stealth in Nottingham to Leeds Festival to Hideout to Miami Music Week. The creation process was similar to all my best tunes  – fast and simple. The vocal caught my ear as soon as I heard it and everything just followed suit from there really, I wanted to make the phattest bassline I could to make it stand out and it’s worked thankfully. I’d say the general foundations for the track were laid in around 2 hours then it was just tweaking from there. I have been overly eager to release this tune since I made it and the response from ravers to DJs has been phenomenal with the like of Richy Ahmed, Skream & Solardo all heavily supporting the track.” - Mason Maynard

"Puffy" will be released as part of the latest compilation from Danny Howard's Nothing Else Matters label, Tracks Volume 2, this Friday. Following on from volume 1 released in the summer, Nothing Else Matters Tracks Vol. 2 continues to highlight Danny Howard’s passion for discovering cutting-edge dance music. Comprised of 4 tracks, each single will be released week by week from the 17th November up until the final release date of 8th December as a full EP. Volume 2 features exclusive singles from Apexape, Mason Maynard, PAX and The Golden Boy.
