Yesterday, renowned house DJ and producer Ben Pearce was in the House of Commons, in a rare appearance, to talk about his personal struggles with mental health. Struggles so severe, Pearce would experience panic attacks before going on stage, spiralling into depression and eventually leading him to cancel all shows in 2016.

Pearce spoke candidly of how his success and demanding schedule lead to severe anxiety as part of SING4SANE's Big Sing in Parliament - run by singer/songwriter Melissa James, with the aim of educating and raising awareness of mental health issues.

Pearce is getting back out in front of the crowds, returning to the limelight with his new project Ascension, a series of extended play records based on a story created by himself.
