Beat junkies of London rejoice, for the final of the 2017 DMC World DJ Championship will take place in your city this weekend. Turnablists, selectors and scratch perverts will be descending on Camden's KOKO to compete for the DMC crown.

This year the Bronx's DJ Perly became the first female DJ to win the US DMC Championship and she'll be looking to cement her name in the history books by taking home the world championship.

Also looking to make history is Japan's DJ Rena, who at just 12 years old, is hoping to break A-Trak's record and become the youngest DMC World Champ. While 2015's runner up, DJ Spell, is the competition's first Maori DJ to reach the world finals.

Alongside the championship battles, the evening will feature appearances from the UK’s pioneering hip hop collective London Posse, we see performances from DMC alumni and some of the finest turntablists to grace the scene, including DJ Woody, Ritchie Ruftone, Mr Switch and Blakey, Cutmaster Swift, Prime Cuts of Scratch Perverts in a heat-felt tribute to the late DJ Daredevil.
