Bank holiday Sunday is all about one thing in London - Carnival! The Notting Hill institution has been running since 1966 - a staggering 52 years.
For over half a century Notting Hill Carnival has been one of the biggest celebrations of Afro-Carribean music and sound system culture in the world and attracts over 1 million people each year. Some of the biggest icons in British music perform or host stages over the two-day event. Including Carnival veteran Norman Jay MBE, Giles Peterson and Trevor Nelson.
Every year Trevor hosts a friends & family Carnival Afterparty, which straddles the transition from Sunday into Monday. This year Trevor will be bringing his Carnival Classics selections to Ministry of Sound for a celebration of music like no other. Expect special guests, old-school flavours and a carnival atmosphere.
Trevor Nelson's Carnival Classics is on Sunday 26th August, get tickets & more info here.
