Every year popular track ID website, 1001 Tracklists, publishes their list of top 101 producers of the year. Unlike other end of year lists, 1001 Tracklists doesn't rely on public vote, or on expert judges, but instead on pure data.

Every time a tracklist of DJ set is uploaded to their site, they record each and every track into a database. Then at the end of each year they take a look at the stats and see which producer's tracks have been played the most.

The 2017 list has just been released and, as you'd expect the top 10 is dominated by the classic EDM names - Tiësto, Don Diablo, Hardwell etc - but the wider list contains a much more varied selection in terms of genre.

Ministry favourites CamelPhat are sitting pretty at 16, while Defected's Franky Rizardo is in at 66.
