In our continued endeavours to get aliens bang into dance music, New Zealand scientists are planning to launch a giant 'disco ball' into space.
Named 'The Humanity Star' the highly reflective sphere was developed to create a shared experience for everyone on planet earth.
Our new celestial disco ball will be visible from anywhere on the planet (except indoors) and will be most visible at twilight. The Humanity Star will orbit the earth every 90 minutes and you'll be able to monitor its progress from a dedicated website, which will tell you the best time to view it based on your geographical location.
The Humanity Star is the brainchild of Rocket Lab, a start-up, which aims to remove the barriers to commercial space travel.
The star will only be in orbit for around nine months, so look out for it while you can.
