Everyone's favourite disaster, Fyre Festival, is back in the news as the organiser, Billy McFarland, has been charged with fraud.

McFarland, who pled not guilty to fraud back in October has now admitted misleading investors in court and could face up to 40 years in prison.

 

 

His hearing will take place in a New York court room in June.

Fyre Festival, which was a joint venture between McFarland and rapper Ja Rule, originally hit headlines last summer after their self-proclaimed luxury festival left attendees stranded in the Bahamas in refugee tents.
