Hailing from a range of African countries including Nigeria, Angola and Zimbabwe; Blackfish Collective were formed in Dublin with the purpose of encouraging freedom and individuality through creativity. Many of the group arrived in Ireland as asylum seekers and they've been brought together by a shared bond.
They tore the roof off of Afropunk Festival last year, wining the coveted Battle of the Bands and have kicked off 2018 with single "Peng Lighty" and EP North King Street - which takes name from the Dublin street the group once lived on.
Now living in London, the collective are working on even bigger projects across music, fashion and production.
