From the SoundOf mix series

 

This week we've got Berlin producer and AVOTRE label boss Santé on the SoundOf decks. Santé made his way into the world of electronic music via an internship at a recording studio. He impressed and he spend the next six years producing jingles and ad music.

After sending a demo to Matt ‘Radio Slave’ Edwards, he released his first single on Edwards' critically acclaimed REKIDS label. After this he moved to Souvenir, where he worked as an engineer and had the freedom to work on his own productions. It was here that he got the chance to remix everyone from Grace Jones to Richie Hawtin.

He went on to create the mighty AVOTRE label, which is celebrating it's 50th release with a special compilation featuring tracks from Sidney Charles, Luca Donzelli, ANOTR and wAFF. They've also gearing up to release a brand new remix package of Acid House classic, "We Are Phuture" from Phuture. That'll be out on 23rd March.
