1. Wildchild - "Renegade Master" (Fatboy Slim Remix)

The 'Renegade Master' sample as been used so many times since Wildchild and Fatboy slim made it famous in the 90s

Taken from A.D.O.R - "One for the trouble"

2. Stardust - "Music Sounds Better With You"

That one bar loop from Chaka Khans - Fate has become one of the most iconic samples in modern dance music

3. Basement Jaxx - "Where's Your head At"

What a tune!! Directly rips the opening phrases from Gary Numans - "M.E." also a jam obviously.

4. The Chemical Brothers - "Block Rockin Beats"

This tune samples heavily but the winner for me is the "The Wells Gone Dry" by the crusaders that they jacked the bass from is definitely the winner. As an electronic producer when you find isolated tracks like that in a record it's just ,THANK YOU!!!

5. Groove Armada - "My Friend"

Love this song. Great top line over the Fatback Bands - "Gotta Learn How To Dance"

6. Portishead - "Glory Box"

Genius. Say no more. Isaac Hayes - "Ikes Rap II"

7. Tribe Called Quest - "Solid Wall Of Sound"

It was super hard to pick my fave Tribe sample so I went with one of the new ones. This track is so good.

Obviously taken from Eltons Benny and The Jets, it's used in such an interesting way. Love it.

8. Dr Dre - "The Next Episode"

I don't know about you but this sample gets me every time. Brilliant.

Back when Scott Storch was sniffing twice Bolivias GDP

David Axelrod - "The Edge"

9. Funky Drummer

You can't do this without mentioning Funky Drummer. This break has been used in so many classic records I won't even bother rattling them off. It must actually be in the thousands now!

James Brown - "Funky Drummer"

10. The Amen Break

And as above. Ladies and Gents. The Amen Break
